This is another monochrome, from a flat part of Lisbon.  Not very far from the Pombal Circle.

I like this for its pseudo-3D effect.

Lisbon is partly hilly, and here is a photo from one hill, across a valley, of the hill across.
I used significant optical zoom, as is evident from the reduction in the dept of focus.

Monochrome landscapes and cityscapes have fascinated me - particularly after I entered the digital-and-colour-by-default era.

Confession: the original shot is in colour.  I have filtered out the colour using GPhotos.

This photo has an exposure of 4 s.

This was my view often - when I returned home after a late evening session in my office or in a lab.

My Photographs 4 - The Lone Sentinel - IIT Bombay Arch

The Arch of IIT Bombay is an icon on its campus.  This photograph was taken after 9 pm, but I had to wait a few minutes for people to go out of view, and attempt a few shots before I was satisfied.  This has an exposure of 1 s.

After I archived the photograph, I noticed the dog sitting in the picture.  That solved my naming problem - I call this picture The Lone Sentinel.
